KARUCHI Studio is an Interior Art Design studio that helps space‑owners use art to intentionally strengthen the way their interiors look, feel, and are experienced.
We plan, create, and install room‑ and area‑specific art collections for private residences, hospitality spaces, corporate or executive environments, and show houses where the final impression matters.
Our work begins with one belief:
Art should do more than cover a wall.
It should support the purpose, identity, atmosphere, and experience of the space it enters.
That is why we do not treat art as a disconnected final addition. We design art collections where every piece has a role within the room, area, or property it serves.
Melvin Karuchi — Interior Art Designer
KARUCHI Studio is led by Melvin Karuchi, an Interior Art Designer whose work sits at the intersection of artistic expression and interior design. Before founding KARUCHI Studio, Melvin worked as a professional artist, creating residential artworks across a range of mediums including string art, painting, drawing, and bas‑relief.
During that time, he began noticing something important. One beautiful artwork could improve a wall, but it did not always transform the experience of a room.
In some interiors, the issue was not simply the absence of art. It was the absence of a considered art direction. A room could have several beautiful pieces and still feel visually disconnected if each artwork had been chosen separately, without a clear relationship to the architecture, furniture, palette, atmosphere, or intended experience of the space. The pieces may have been attractive individually, but together they did not always create harmony, rhythm, identity, atmosphere, or completion.
That observation changed the way Melvin thought about interior art. He began to see that the greater value was not simply in creating individual artworks, but in designing intentional collections — groups of artworks that work together within a room or area to support one shared interior experience.
One piece may anchor the room. Another may create rhythm. Another may soften a hard wall, guide the eye, strengthen a focal point, or introduce warmth, identity, or atmosphere. When those pieces are planned together, their effect is greater than the sum of the individual artworks. The room does not merely gain more art. It gains a clearer experience.
A collection is not simply several artworks in one room. It is several artworks working together toward one interior experience.
Rather than creating artwork first and hoping it would suit a space, he chose to reverse the process: begin with the space, understand the experience it was designed to support, then design the art collection that strengthens it. That perspective became the foundation of KARUCHI Studio.

What We Believe Art Should Do
KARUCHI Studio uses art to help interiors become more visually coherent, personally expressive, and experientially effective.
Whether we are designing one artwork, a room‑specific collection, an area‑specific collection, or a property‑wide Interior Art Plan, the purpose remains the same: the art should support the purpose, identity, atmosphere, and experience of the space.
Create Visual Coherence
Art should connect with the room’s architecture, scale, furniture, materials, palette, and focal points.
When the artwork relates to the visual language of the interior, the space feels more resolved and intentional.
When several artworks are involved, they should not feel like unrelated pieces competing for attention. They should work together as one considered collection, with each piece contributing to the room or area’s overall harmony.
Express Identity
Art should help a space say something about the person, property, brand, or organization behind it.
In a home, that may mean personality, memory, taste, or lifestyle. In a hospitality space, it may mean atmosphere, story, and sense of place. In a corporate or executive space, it may mean authority, values, culture, or brand presence. In a show house, it may mean aspiration, desirability, and the lifestyle a buyer can imagine.
A strong art collection does not need every piece to look the same. It needs every piece to understand the identity and experience of the space it belongs to.

Medium‑Flexible by Design
KARUCHI Studio is not limited to one artistic medium. That is intentional. Every space has its own architecture, atmosphere, palette, materials, purpose, and emotional tone. Because of that, the right artwork for one interior may not be the right artwork for another.
